Fans stuck in limbo.

So lets have a debate

The latest defeat to Hearts has started a great debate on Twitter, Facebook and fans sites. Due to the international break the fans are now left in limbo till the next Celtic game were I suspect voices of dissatisfaction will start to be heard. Until then the debate between the fans will go on.We do of course have the AGM coming up soon however I doubt we’ll get anything from that.
If things were not bad enough we suffered another blow today. Captain Scott Brown will be out for six to eight weeks after having an operation on his ankle. I know there are many fans who don’t think Brown brings much to the team but he is the type of experienced player we could do with in the team just now.
The question we would like to ask Celtic fans is What do you think of the situation at the club ? Is it

  • Simply just an overreaction from the support after a bad start to the season ?
  • Is the manager and his back room staff too inexperienced ?
  • Are the board and major shareholder guilty of short sighted under investment?
  • Do we just have too many injuries and that is effecting team selection?
  • Does the manager change his selection and tactics too much?
  • Is it down to a lack of quality signings in the summer?
  • Have the board failed to find funds to build on last seasons improvements?
It could be one or a combination of the above that has lead us to this point. However we at TCN would like to hear the views of the Celtic support and also encourage some debate.
You can leave your thoughts and answer others on this page. So what say ye?

  1. Bad managment from boardroom to first team.
    Not enough funds released
Neil is no where near ready. He can’t change when things go wrong.
    Gary parker ? Jesus…..
    Mjallby ? defender ?
Alan Thompson…..worrying rumours starting to surface.
We need an EXPERIENCED manager. Now.

  2. No way an overreaction, Neil Lennon was a cheap option and forced on the fans because the board wanted the cheap option, players, not being given a chance a either belng loaned out or sold
I am sickened to death of having poor managers and poor decisions and a board who buys duds like bangura instead of diawara. We are a 3rd class club with no ambition, we need a world class manager and we have 3 billionaires on the board who spends pennies rather than pounds, the club needs a complete overhaul sooner rather than later.

  3. There’s no need to change the management though Lenny by far isn’t the best strategist. He and his co. are barely shown what makes someone a great tactician – the oppposition almost always got better after the break. But on the other hand he’s the guy who completely deserve that job. He were there always, with his utmost devotion, dealing with the elements all the time just for the Club. He need to improve his strategic skills, for everything else there’s himself. There”s only one Neil Lennon!

  4. Have to say I agree with the bhoys above and add to that we are a laughing stock, it is very hard being a Tim.
    Mon the Hoops!

    1. I’m starting to get flash backs to the 90’s Mike…not nice at all. Like back to being Cut price Celtic again

  5. I think the players need to take a good look at themselves the money they get paid and have not done enough this season look at the mob across the water they play as a team and are getting the results and they are not that good a team we need to start sticking way the one team starting with hoops and stokes up front and I personally would put zaluska in goal as I think he is more vocal when it comes to shouting at the defence and comfortable his own box .
Maybe we need more Celtic men in the team guys that will fight for the cause but are they very far and few between guys like burns ,Doyle ,mcstay ,etc. It’s time for them to perform for the Celtic fans who give there all in supporting the team .

  6. All of the above comments are valid, yes we do have a very inexperienced management team, but as do rangers, also we were’nt complaining at the end of last season, yes there was very little investment in the squad during the summer, in saying that there is plenty of deadwood on our books on loan elsewhere costing us serious money! Yes, we have had a horrendous start to the season, yes our injury list is concerning and growing! Yes our involvement in the europa league is a hindrance! If we get to the new year less than a handful of points behind rangers, when we get some key players back, sell some deadwood, bring in quality, noy quantity, then I believe we still have a chance, all very big ifs I know!

  7. Keep the faith Bhoys we,ve no choice but to stick with Lenny and co, my main concern is the board and in particular Peter Lawwell, here we have an employee of Celtic FC who appears to benefit financially not with results on the park or trophies in the cabinet but financial results, that to me is a great concern.
Celtic should have put the Rangers to the sword three seasons ago with a bit more investment in the playing staff. So to blame Lenny for all our troubles will not sort out our problems longterm.
Lenny is inexperienced that’s for sure but I think we all new that at the start, but not to back him financially is probably asking to much of him. Not for a minute do I believe Lenny didn’t want a new keeper centre half and a striker. KTF
