Opposition Parties want to Kill The Bill

Scotland’s main opposition parties Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories will back a Labour tabled amendment that the  SNP Government has failed to make a case for these new offences.
They have also stated that the “Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill “lacks clarity, would lead to confusion, be difficult to enforce if implemented and cannot be supported”.
Instead the opposition parties have called for:

  • Greater consideration should be given to using existing laws
  • working with football authorities
  • promoting positive interventions in communities and the education system
With the SNP adamant that they will force this proposed bill through by using their majority vote in Parliament W e belive this is the SNP’s Poll Tax moment.
They either ditch this bill or face the backlash from the voters.
