Maley'sBhoys Latest – Bishop Says Police Incite Football Fans

The following is an article which featured in today’s Scottish Sunday Times, written by Lorraine Davidson. I personally think it’s a great article, so that’s why I’ve featured it here.

One of Scotland’s most senior churchmen said football fans are being “unneccesarily provoked” by police as part of a crackdown on sectarianism.
Philip Tartaglia, the Catholic Bishop of Paisley, told how he was frisked by stewards under the glare of the police, filmed on video camera and made to feel “distinctly uncomfortable” when he attended a Celtic football match with two other priests in August.
