A Successful Transfer window ?

The annual distraction known as the winter transfer window and the media’s annual ‘lets sell Celtic’s players’ is over. The window closed quietly last night on what was for Celtic a decent effort to boost the squad.
The main thing for me and I suppose most of the support was that we held on to our best players. As has been pointed out the Russian window does not close until later this month so you can expect the Laptop Loyal to try and sell Hooper and Stokes for a few weeks yet. Celtic simply will not be selling. If clubs are really interested in signing our players then they can wait till the summer because Celtic do not have to sell players to survive.
The squad has now been boosted by three players who are ready to play. Mikael Lustig, Rabiu Ibrahim and Pawel Brozek. Another two have returned to the squad in the shape of Efrain Juarez and Morten Rasmussen after loan spells so we are well covered in every department. With Jaroslaw Fojut joining in the summer we have not done too bad in the window. We are certainly stronger than we were one month ago so that’s a plus.
Best of luck to James Keatings who moved to St Johnstone, Lewis Toshney who joined Kilmarnock and Paul Slane who moved to English League One outfit, MK Dons on loan.
