First Battle won. Two still to go

Firstly I’d like to congratulate all the SPL fans who made their feeling known to their clubs and winning the No To Newco in the SPL. It is now a certainty that sevco will not ply their trade in the SPL next season at least. It is heartening to know that fans from all clubs put aside their rivalry and stand up for integrity in our national game.
However there are two other battle on the Horizon:
1 Sevco have applied for membership of the SFA or to be precise they want the registration of the now defunct club formally known as Rangers transferred to Sevco . In my opinion this should not be allowed to happen. Sevco may own assets that once belonged to the now defunct Rangers but they have no history of competing in Scottish football at any level therefore they should be admitted as a totally new company. The history and honours gained by the now defunct Glasgow club died with that club.
2. As raised earlier today the Clubs in the SFL now have to decide if they will allow sevco to set up shop in Division one. That is a decision entirely for the SFL to make. I hope they do the honourable thing and reject such a move. As mentioned above Sevco have no history of playing in any football league in this country and do not deserve to be treated any differently to clubs like Annan Athletic, Ross County or even Spartans. They must start at the bottom..

  3. Totally agreed. New company=new club=new membership. No gerrymandering. One rule for everybody. Say no to Sevco
