'Integrity Rules…For Now!'

Ok, so this is hardly in-depth and hardly breaking news…Rangers hopes of competing in the SFL division 1, were today given a resounding thumbs down.
In any normal, democratic and civilised society and in any other association of governance, these sentiments would be all but now written in stone, their unanimous wishes be wholly granted.
This is not quite so civilised or as democratic, nor even as well-governed, a situation; I fully expect another last-ditch motion to be ‘threatened’.
Once more I expect it to fail…this situation has come too far and is too deeply embedded in the publics consciousness for any form of dictatorship to now, stabilise this ship in stormy waters. The mutiny won over and now the previous captains of this ship must walk the plank…their services are no longer required.
Piracy in Scottish football, it would appear, is far more diplomatic, more integrious and more welcomed than feared and loathed.
This form of hijacking, was about saving the ship, its passengers and it’s precious cargo…the last captains entrusted with the ship were even less capable and professional in their conduct than the man who ran a-ground the Costa Concordia.
Only difference I see, is that at least that rat had enough sense to desert the sinking ship and not to await being forced to ‘walk the plank’.
My message to Messrs Regan and Doncaster is this “You have done your bit for the establishment, you earned your wages. You did however fail, spectacularly so and you did arrogantly resist the better judgement of others, you have proven yourselves to be both incompetent and untrustworthy…please do the decent thing and now leave your positions. Enough blood has been spilt, we are peaceful and respectful persons, but within us all…a warriors heart exists, we are only protecting our own families. Now go, walk away and don’t look back. The rebels have won, long live integrity!!”
What says they, to that?!

  1. Monday may bring another twist in this sorry tale. We will then learn how far Mr Regan is willing to break the rules and ignore the wishes of the vast majority of clubs and fans in Scotland including Sevco Scotland Ltd.

    1. Haha Yeah it’s a much ignored side to this sorry league ‘re-corruption’ gate esque period, the fact that SPL/SFA and Sevco were all willing to ignore their own supporters, well their borrowed Rangers supporters anyhow.
One has to wonder how long a club, if of course it ever officially becomes one, can survive with little or no season ticket holders, huge running costs and virtually no income streams…intriguing times lie ahead of us.
Quite why this ‘situation’ was deemed worth both Regan and Doncaster risking their positions, their reputations and their safety over, is somewhat beyond my comprehension.
Intrigue definetely isn’t a precious commodity around Scottish football nowadays, it’s been more of a stable dietary habit of late!
      Thanks Wullie HH
