Celtic's last game in Germany

Celtic face Vfr Aalen at 18.00 GMT in the last of their pre season games in Germany. So far they have drawn 0 – 0 with FC Augsburg and lost 1 – 0 to Stuttgart Kickers.
I seen the Stuttgart game and it was your typicle pre season match. Stuttgart where a decent side who gave us a good run out. No point playing teams you can gub 8 – 0 when your trying to get your match fitness up to speed with Champions league qualifiers and the SPL season weeks away.
I noticed on Twitter a few people moaning about our level of performance against Stuttgart Kickers but to me it just looked like one of our poorer games from the middle of last season so if that’s where we are at just now that’s fine and dandy.
I’ve always taken the view that I don’t care about performances or results from pre season and I’m not going to change now. These games are designed to give the players a run out, get their match fitness and sharpness back and give the manager a chance to try out some ideas.
So I’m quite happy to loose the lot as long as we beat Aberdeen on August the 4th and qualify for the Champions League.

  1. Exactly James, these games don’t matter. It would be nice to get a goal right enough! Glad to see you back, I hope you’re keeping well.
