Pressure Game in Sweden

So we’re all off to Sweden in the green to play Helsingborgs IF who were beaten 2 – 1 by Elfsborg away from home at the weekend. Their only goal was scored by Alejandro Bedoya who made 12 appearances for the corpse that is Rangers FC.

However playing at home against Celtic in a Champions league qualifier should concentrate their minds.

I’m still not sure of our injury situation but most of the players missing on Saturday travelled out.

One person who will not be travelling is Ki Sung Yueng who is currently in talks with Swansea after both clubs agreed a fee of over £5m which if you ask me is a bit on the cheap side. Then again we made it pretty obvious we were selling him so that doesn’t put you in a strong position to negotiate.

Neil Lennon was quoted as saying the money from the Ki transfer will go to paying of debt either he’s telling the truth or maybe he is being very clever in declaring we don’t have £5m spare as that tends to lead to clubs upping the price of their players if you enquire about their availability.

Anyway back to the football and our Champions league qualifier. Concentration and hard work will be the key if we are to return to Celtic part for the second leg with a favourable result. An away goal and a clean sheet would be priceless.

Here’s hoping.
