The bhoys send out a patched up team including young hoops Tony Watt and Fillip Twardzik. Two minutes into the game Celtic win a corner and Victor Wanyama puts Celtic one up, great start. The game is mostly controlled by Celtic with Charlie Mulgrew unlucky with a cracking long range free kick which hits the bar. Just as ICT start to make their way back into the game Tony Watt is released on the left makes a run into the box and scores a cracking goal bending it right round the keeper into the far corner. Twenty five minutes gone and it’s two nil to Celtic.
Celtic come close again in the thirty eighth minute with Hooper feeding Twardzik who made a run into the box and sent a low pass to the back post to Watt who hits the side netting from a tight angle. First half’s ends with Celtic in total control of the game, great first half for the patched up Champions.
Second half starts Hooper nutmegs his opponent and is fouled on the edge of the box and gains a free kick. Mathews rolls in a low ball into the box and Charlie Mulgrew scores forty seven minutes gone Celtic are three up. Fifty seven minutes gone Tony Watt wins a 50-50 with the keeper and rolls the ball across the front of the goal and unusually Hooper is not there.
Sixty two minutes gone and Izzy runs into the box knocks a ball to Mathews at the back post where he finds Tony Watt who slams the ball into the net. Celtic four nil up. Hooper makes way for James Forrest. Mo Bangura replaces Adam Mathews. Seventy one minutes gone and Tony Watt brings out a good save from ICT keeper after a nice move involving him and Lustig. Joe Chalmers replaces Izzy in the seventy fifth minute. Eighty one minutes gone and Draper grabs a conciliation goal for ICT. All of a sudden ICT want to play pity there is only seven minutes left on the clock. Eighty five minutes gone and ICT grab another. Disappointed in that. Game over ICT 2 – Celtic 4.
