Thanks to our new Author Team

As you may or may not have noticed I’ve not been blogging or appearing much on Twitter this is mainly down to the fact that the power interface on my laptop is deed! So I’m having to use the family pc which is attached to the telly therefore there is a constant struggle between me and the three women I share my life with between watching the telly or being on the pc!!!

So since it’s 5.32am I have a clear run at the Pc :).

I tought this would be the ideal time to thank the author team we now have at TCN for their commitment to the cause. I’ve always had the occasional article from allymonc who to my mind is one of the best bloggers out there. However over the past few months I have been really fortunate to have the following guys actively writing articles. brianbhoy07, Crutches, Kraljski,McAllister of Ongar in Exile Wee Lubo and SparkybhoyHH.

I want to publicly thank these guys for bringing a diversity of views to TCN and judging by the feedback they get they’re doing a great job.My honest opinion is that they have added value to the site. As I have said before a large part of the TCN mission is to give ordinary Celtic fans who may not want to run their own blog a place where they can get their views out to the wider support so we always welcome new authors even if they only want to write an article once or twice a year.

One thing I would love to see is female Celtic fans giving us their input in what is still a very male orientated Celtic Internet. So if your a female with a view please feel free to contact us through the contact form.

Once again thanks to all the guys for mucking in and I hope we see our first female writer soon.

Hail, Hail

James

  1. James…this site is a testimony to your vision. You are the one who made it work. For my part I am delighted to contribute. There is much to discuss on a daily basis. Most of that is focussed on our Celtic however I can see the opportunity we all have to make this site more than that. Its an organic concept and as such we are able to explore different topics push the boundaries and even challenge ourselves. Yes we cannot be gender centric. I see comments from many females from the Celtic family. This site does not have a glass ceiling so lets hope we see someone take their place and bring a different perspective to TCN.

  3. My pet peeve of this site is the petty one word or inane comments of some posters. Not every random thought needs to be posted folks. I live 12,000 miles from Celtic Park and cannot watch them in real life any more. If I tell you that I will watch them at 11.45 pm on Saturday against St J. you should be able to work out where I domicile.
I am intrigued by what will be the starting line-up. We are blessed in that we have so much cover at every position on the field. It would be a brave person who could reel off the starting 11. I love to see young talent being groomed.
Watch out for the pre- and post Europe games. I have seen Celtic drop too many points in these bookend matches with Scottish teams. St J and Dundee represent a possible 6 points. Benfica are important but 6 points could put us top of the table. the same fire and commitment has to be shown in the League matches.

  5. Football is all about opinions and I find myself disagreeing slightly with my fellow Tim fisiani from far far away land.

“I have seen Celtic drop too many points in these bookend matches with Scottish teams. St J and Dundee represent a possible 6 points. Benfica are important but 6 points could put us top of the table.” he/she says.

In my opinion, Benfica are ALL important. The league is very much a secondary consideration for the first part of the season, Europe is everything. Top of the table in September is not important, we could lose 12 games this season and still win the league.

And James, you say – “So if your a female with a view”…………..is there any other kind?

(just kiddin’ ghirls………..ducks to avoid incoming…..)

Finally, apologies if this comment is seen as petty or inane.

  7. I got home at 2am having joined another 9 Bhoys in wellington at the celtic Supporters Club furthest from Celtic Park. My fears of a poor pre-Europe game were confirmed. I have no doubt that ever sinew will be stretched on Wednesday against Benfica. My concern is that we will stuggle against bottom of the league Dundee.
The effort displayed in europe is the same effort required in every game. Celtic should never settle for mediocrity. There are 12 pre and post Europe games in group stages alone. That is a possible 36 points in the SPL.
Currently we stand 0/3. The Dundee game kicks off at 2am my time. Will the performance merit my faith in staying awake.
