1888 miles 125 4 125

Since Celtic FC was founded 125 years ago the club and its supporters have always played their part with helping those less fortunate than ourselves.  As we enter the 125th year of the club, we would like to improve the life’s of the poorest and most vulnerable in society.

The club have launched the “125 4 125” campaign requesting that the fans take the pledge to raise a minimum of £125 for worthy causes throughout the 125th year.

Recently a group of us undertook the pledge for “125 4 125” where we cycled 243 miles from the Birthplace of Brother Walfrid to Celtic Park. Inspired by the generosity and kindness shown to us throughout that journey,

In an effort to continue to promote charity and in particular “125 4 125” I plan to embark on a new 125 4 125 challenge, of cycling 1888 miles with a view to raising a MIN of GBP 125.00 for Celtic Charity in the 125th Year. I am to do this by road cycling mainly at weekends starting on the 01/01/2013 throughout the course of the 125th year,During this time, I aim to clock up as many miles as soon as possible, where I have planned at this stage to take part in the following two very special cycles;

Cycle from Paradise to Belfast to support the “Oscar Knox Campaign”, 15th March 2013

Cycle from Paradise to the grave of Brother Walfrid in Dumfries, 17th and 18th May 2013

Other cycles will be planned as means to clock up many miles towards the magical number of 1888

I am hoping that other fellow Celtic Family members may join me in this challenge and help to further promote “125 4 125” For further details on how you can help with “125 4 125” please contact 1254125@celticfc.co.uk
