OMNISHAMBLES – Time to let FIFA know.

To all Scottish Football supporters.
The game is Scotland is in crisis and it’s not because a former SPL club died last year and their Newco are now playing in the forth tier. The reason for the crisis is the total mismanagement of our game by the ‘office bearers’ at the Scottish Football Association.
The SFA are clearly set up to protect one club and one club only. Where is all the talk of having to save Hearts and Dunfermline this season ? The SFA’s silence is deafening and a clear indication that the opening sentence of this paragraph is true.
They have also kept in situ a president who presided over and participated in the RFC EBT tax avoidance scam. We are told he has not took part in any SFA investigations into his former club, if that is the case he has just picked up over 1 years salary for doing nothing.
We have also witnessed a miscarriage of justice when an SPL commission lead by Lord Nimmo Smith where he found that RFC Oldco deliberately withheld side letters from the governing body and the SPL but were let off because of evidence from an SFA ‘office bearer’. The staggering conclusion that despite benefiting from £49m that they did not have RFC Oldco gained no competitive advantage is a farce.
So what have the SFA said about that? Basically it’s nothing to do with them. I and many others beg to differ. They are the governing body of Scottish Football and have a responsibility to every member club not just one.
The latest shambles they are overseeing is league reconstruction which is once again turning into a sideshow and a distraction from the bigger picture. The latest distraction is the introduction of colt teams from only two clubs and I expect only designed to benefit one. You don’t need to take my word for it listen to the comments from Falkirk’s Chairman Martin Ritchie and Raith Rovers Turnball Hutton. Approximately 2hr:27 mins in. Good_Morning_Scotland_13_03_2013/
All of the above and more over past decades have contributed to a total breakdown in trust between Scottish football supporters and the SFA.
The people that we should be trusting to question the SFA and others within our game are the Scottish mainstream media who with the exception of Mark Daley and his team have proved themselves as craven, cowardly sevconian mouth pieces. One year on and the SMSM are back to trying to create an atmosphere which would allow Newco move up the leagues to the SPL.
The whole situation we Scottish supporters now find ourselves in is untenable. We have complained to the SFA, SFL and UEFA and nothing has been done to stop bad governance of our game. It is now time to let FIFA know that our game is rigged and is being run into the ground by those who have been trusted to promote and nurture it. The SFA.
FIFA have now introduced a regulatory framework  to ensure that supporters and stakeholders in the game can alert them to what they see as a failure to uphold the rules and spirit of fair play which you can find HERE https://www.bkms-system.net/bkwebanon/report/clientInfo?cin=6fifa61&language=eng .
The part that should interest Scottish supporters is 3.
“FIFA’s jurisdiction encompasses misconduct that (1) relates to match manipulation; (2) occurs in or affects more than one confederation, so that it cannot adequately be addressed by a single confederation; or (3) would ordinarily be addressed by a confederation or association, but, under the particular facts at issue, has not been or is unlikely to be dealt with appropriately at that level.
It is clear that our association has not addressed our concerns as stakeholders in our game. At the end of the day FIFA may not be able to do anything but as the worlds governing football body it is only right that they are at least informed about this OMNISHAMBLES. So just take ten minutes to communicate your thoughts to FIFA and maybe just maybe someone will listen because the SFA are not going to.

  1. you could add part 2 to that aswell “occurs in or affects more than one confederation, so that it cannot be addressed by a single federation” ie if the SFA didnt come up with the fake rule , it’s only wrong from the time it’s discovered. If not for that how many teams in europe were conned out of a place due to oldco ?

  3. We need an online petition which can be presented to FIFA. We also need to get as many fans from as many clubs as possible to sign up to highlight all of the above failings.
There are many clever people out there who could start one going, peolpe with a bit of clout, who have Blogs, podcasts, large Twitter followings etc. We all need to keep up as much pressure as we can and not back down until we succeed in the removal of the morons at the SFA.
This will be a bigger fight than the fan pressure applied to the authorities last season over the Sevco registration but one that can be won. Hail Hail!
