Commons hat trick as Celtic ease past Killie, 7 points from title

3 and easy for Kris
3 and easy for Kris

Dreadful game for an hour tonight on a Friday night game not many are keen on. We gave the ball away, we were sloppy, we kept falling over, 5 yard passes were missed just really lethargic

Celtic had the ball in the net on 2 minutes when Stokes slotted home but he was judged to be off-side. After that the 1st half really was a non entity, it was a poor a first half as I have watched all season and when commentating on the game you try to find things to type, 1st half I struggled

2nd half Celtic were superb and got better as the game went on, on the hour mark the game was won with two goals in 64 seconds from Kris Commons. The first one a superb 1-2 with Griffiths he was through and passed it to the back post and into the net, 1-0 and the fans got going and from then on in we were just superb

Commons slides the ball past the keeper for 1-0
Commons slides the ball past the keeper for 1-0

2-0 came one minute later, Commons got the ball, another 1-2 this time with Matthews who passed it back to him and Commons again just passed the ball into the net and the whole game changed and atmosphere in the ground in a minute

Henderson was outstanding for his first start and got better as the game progressed but for me Johansen was my man of the match, he does the easy things and also picks a pass. I thought we may have missed Biton tonight but fair play to Lennon, his half time talk worked and not his first half time team talk in that dressing room!

Johansen picked up the ball with about 10 minutes to go passed it into Commons, wanting his 3rd hat trick of the season he turned 30 yards out and hammered a low powerful shot past the keepers left hand side, 3-0 and a superb hat trick by a player who just makes it look so easy

With 7 points needed for our 3rd league title in a row all is well in the Celtic World tonight. With players missing tonight, players who will get signed come Summer time before we play in Edinburgh at Murryfield in the Champions League qualifiers, we can be very happy fans just now

Off the park the club is as healthy as it has been and on the park again Lenny is building a terrific side where goals come from all over, we don’t depend on any one player to score as we have many good goal scorers. Commons is utter class and with his contract running out in the Summer Lenny said today Celtic have the option of 1 more year, Lenny said it is a done deal and perhaps a new contract to keep him at the club as the lad is happy here

Strange game but we got there in the end, we seen a glimpse of what our youth academy is bringing through and we know we can still play ok at the back without Van Dijk, we were dodgy early on at the back but that will happen when a change is made after so long

Unity!
Unity!

3-0, 7 points till Champions

My man of the match: Johansen, the kid oozes class, brilliant player!
