Celtic – Back in the mix

Well I never expected this after the defeat by FC Sion. The fact is I was so angry with the performance over the two legs that when I realised there was a possibility that we could get reinstated I did not want us reinstated!
However I’ve had plenty of time to calm down now and I’m delighted that we are still competing in Europe.

Islam Feruz – What price Loyalty ?

Sad to here the news that the talented Islam Feruz has left. What makes me even more sad is the lack of loyalty and respect shown to Celtic FC and the memory of Tommy Burns.
It has been well documented that Celtic and especially Tommy stepped in to help Islams family out in their time of need helping to secure a safe home for him and his family in Scotland.
Here is a peice from a Scottish paper with a quote from Islam’s Mother.

CQN Raise the bar for fans media

Hot on the release of the wonderful CQ magazine the team at CQN have now launched CQN TV.
They are now interviewing Celtic fans outside the stadium asking them for theirviews on Celtic issues. This is a great leap forward for Celtic fans independent media and shows what can be done when fans decide to take things into their own hands.

Legends game and pictures.

Another occasion that makes you proud to be a Celt.

What a brilliant night ! A massive crowd with a party atmosphere and the return of some Celtic greats.

John Kennedy's testimonial had been postponed a couple of times but it was certainly worth the wait. The big man kindly donated his testimonial money to Oxfam which say's a lot about the kind of person he is. The charity which is raising awareness and money for the awful famine unfolding in East Africa also benefited from the club and the support. This is what Celtic is all about.

We don't need no legislation

Is the proposed legislation needed ?

The proposed Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Bill has caused great concerns to be raised by not only Celtic fans but fans of many clubs.
The Scottish Government and others are adamant that they need to bring in these laws to combat sectarianism, bigotry and online hate campaigns. However it is felt by many that we already have the laws in place to deal with these crimes already.
