Rangers Fighting Fund – We Are The Paypal

Has anyone considered this?
If all Celtic fans (or anyone that doesn’t like Rangers) with a Paypal account were to send them 1p it would cost them 20p +3.5% (approx) in order to receive it.
Now they can’t get around these fees by claiming they are a charity, as they are not, they also can’t claim it’s personal money, as again, it’s not.
The money, as it is being used to fund a business, is also taxable and would need to be declared.
They could of course refund payments they feel are not of a “viable” amount, but can you imagine the admin’ time needed if this was done en-masse?

  1. I really get having a go, having a laff, rubbing their noses in it, after all remember the whole £5 for a £10 thing..
But this, if folk take your suggestion seriously is sad. really.
Whenever you think you have a good idea, reflect for a moment, then ask yourself this. Would Tommy Burns think this wis a laff, or a dig too far?
Knowing the man as I did, I know he wouldn’t be impressed. TB’s vision for Celtic and Celtic supporters didn’t include kicking folk when they were down… Jokes can be taken too far and start to reflect badly on the club..
I urge you to think before you post…… That is if you claim to want the best as TB did for Celtic

      1. SparkybhoyHH,
Please, you are being insulting, that is, insulting the inteligence of both me and others whom enjoy these blogs…
To think that your observation wouldn’t be read as a suggestion is ridiculous, and I believe you know that.
My own view is, sure lets take the “P”, they expect it. I, probably like you, have mates that support them and most of them take it with good grace (what else can they do)
Fitba humour to me is the wittiest , most caustic patter on the planet, brilliant. BUT
They have had their kicking, and for some it will continue, just watch what happens at the Final!! BUT Celtic should be about dignity. To me TB was Celtic class and dignity personified, Look whom he asked to carry his coffin…That says everything to me, everything he would expect from Celtic supporters.CLASS
So how about starting a thread which extols the virues of dignity as TB would have… I wonder what his comments would be if he were with us today about “their” situation…

        1. I actually find this comment insulting.
Firstly, my post is an observation, at no point do I suggest anyone actually send a penny.
How people choose to intepret my observation is their responsibilty not mine.
Secondly, as I’m very experienced in the ways of Payapl, I’m surprised they have overlooked such a glaring issue that is readily open to abuse.
With regards the tax implications, that was most definately deliberate, especially considerring their track record in such matters.
And as far as dignity and respect goes regards Rangers fans, Hearse delivered to Parkhead in 94?
Recent surge in singing of sectarian and offensive songs that the SFA have chosen to ignore?
And then you decide you have the authority to speak on behalf of the late Tommy Burns, and you say I’m insulting?

You dont have any intelligence to insult. I don’t know why you read anything on here because all you do is moan about it. You don’t speak for Tommy Burns so leave the mans name out of all your comments. Your insulting his memory!

    1. Andrew,
Ask yourself this, you assert I don’t have any intelligence to insult, I don’t speak for TB and all I do is moan about the content on here…. where do you get you evidence from??
1, In Fact, I knew Tommy very well and I also knew what his dream was for Celtic and Celtic supporters.
2, As yourself whom is insulting Tommy’s memory,; one whom is advocating mischief against our old enemy, or one whom is advocating enough is enough and giving counsel to be careful the name of Celtic isn’t besmirched….
I shall continue to post here what I believe is to be the best for CFC, if me mentioning Tommy’s name makes anyone think again and reminds them of the class and dignity of the man he would be happy with that.
As I said I knew Tommy very well, I knew his passion for his faith his club. I believe that reminding others what he stood for is a good thing…….
Only the idiotic non thinker would be against that surely, It can only be a good thing to remember a man, and respect his memory by adhering to a way of living, a way of conducting ourselves, to a way of supporting his club he would be proud of…..
That’s all I try to do and try to convince others to do….If moderators think I am wrong and out of order; they are free to restrict me from posting
