This bill as predicted on here and other places has nothing to do with curbing sectarian hatred and everything to do with the oppression of human rights. The thin edge of the wedge of a Police State Scotland.
I would go as far as to say that all football fans must unite to have this legislation scrapped asap. It’s clear from several people I have been in contact over the weekend including a prominent QC that Rangers fans groups and others are coming under increasing harassment by the Police all around Scotland.
What happened on Saturday was a reflection of all that is wrong in Scotland under an SNP administration. Any chance they had of me voting Yes in a referendum has gone. I will consider voting yes if I get a promise that another party will campaign for power post referendum and will repeal this terrible legislation and return the Police to doing their real jobs which is keeping citezens safe.
I have sent an official complaint to Strathclyde Police (details below). I have also sent copies to my MP, MSP and MEP. This attack on civil liberties cannot stand unchallenged.
If anyone is in doubt that senior people at Celtic and some fans association are actively involved in helping the Police or turning a blind eye I suggest you listen to the following section of the Celtic Dreams Pod cast from the weekend
