Green Brigade Return as Forster and Stokes have a field day + Highlights

Griffiths and Stokes start what we ALL hope is a good double act!

Celtic came out on Sunday missing a few players and lost Izzy early doors and looked very good, I said last week against Aberdeen during commentary we NEEDED a 3 man midfield with Biton in it and to lose Samaras, Biton was my man of the match on Sunday, he controlled the game and sat in front of the back 4 and protected them as well as passing the ball well and snuffing out counters by St Johnston

This was as easy a win as we have had all season and 3-0 was a good score, should have been more but we were missing a LOT of players for this one. Forster got his clean sheet and everything was rosy again

A major plus for me was the Green brigade back in the stadium and Lenny said himself “It helped the players” So, for the LOVE OF GOD Celtic, get these lads back in to get the singing going but Green Brigade if you read this, keep politics out of the stadium, the players don’t understand it as most are from foreign shores and the club don’t like it.  The club would LOVE to open 111 and have you all back there. So play ball and you guys will be back and I believe Lenny was correct in what he said in that the Green Brigade brought a charge of energy to the fans, no argument they did

Welcome back lads, but keep it real! #HH

The game was total control for Celtic and 3 superb goal from Anthony Stokes. We are all saying “We need a striker” maybe, just maybe Stokes could be that Striker, he is still a young lad and is learning. He has  attitude problems but I think Lenny is hinting well that “Stokes is growing up” He looked the part on Sunday for sure, and with Tony Watt looking like he has woken up to OUR DREAM he may come back and be a player also. Pukki  and Balde? You guess, bad buys? Give them time? Boerrigter also needs games to prove his worth but so far the three of them don’t look like they can do it here, Van Dijk, Biton and Johansen all look the part and the jury will be out on Griffiths for a while but he needs to hit the ground running quickly, his desire was there for all to see so he looks like he will do well

1-0 and a the start of a good day for Stokes

Stokes goal against Aberdeen was superb also so 4 SUBERB  goals in 2 games from stokes. The first one yesterday involved new man Leigh Griffiths and Stokes dances past a few defenders for 1-0, great goal. The second goal came in between a SUPER shot from Commons that came off the bar, the man has some left foot. 2-0 came when Scott Brown found himself on the goal line, chipped over to the back post and Stokes as cool as you like with one touch turned his man and hammered home a well deserved 2nd goal. And Stokes got a superb hat trick when he got the ball wide left, came inside and fired brilliantly towards the bottom left of goal and what a brilliant hat trick for the Irishman

Stokes gets his 2nd and best goal of the afternoon, cracking goal

Scott Brown hit the post and seen it come back the way and Forster made a crucial save for his record near the end sticking out a foot to equal former Aberdeen stopper Bobby Clark’s run of 12 league shut-outs and not needs I think 25 minutes away to Hearts next game to beat the record. The show of support from his team mate shows the unity in this squad. New man Johansen again looked assured and with him and Biton really looking good and Kayal due back soon the midfield is shaping up. We do need a left back badly and with no Mulgrew  on Sunday Fisher who is out of contract at the end of the season came on at left back and did really well, we may lose this kid and we will lose the man below in the Summer, lets enjoy him while he is here, he is one hell of a keeper

Not to forget "La Gran Muralla"

A crowd of 45,239 was good and all round a good day for the team after last week’s heartache. My man of the match was Biton. Stokes should get it, but for me  Biton allowed us to control the game. Wonderful player we have, Lenny needs to play the kid, simple
