Sir’s, I would like to draw your attention to the incident which took place in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow on Saturday 16th of March 2013 between 12.50pm and 2.10pm where my wife and myself witnessed what can only be described as over the top Police tactics perpetrated against a peaceful group of Celtic fans and some members of the general public. TCN Supports the Green Brigade

Now that we have had statements from both the Green Brigade and Celtic Football club we still await a statement from Strathclyde police on FOCUS operations. I won’t hold my breath.

I welcome the Club’s statement regarding the safety and welfare of the supporters and the fact they have made it clear who fans can complain to if they feel they are being harassed by the Police. Now no one should be in any doubt how to complain to the Club and the Club have no excuse for not following up complaints. Here’s hoping for a truly transparent process.

Ad Free Celtic Fans Sites

As many of you have noticed visiting some Celtic fan sites on the web has become a pain in the arse due to aggressive 3rd party ads. I’m proud to say that since this site was born in 2011 it has remained ad free. Sites will state that they use ads to cover costs and fair enough but what’s the point of covering your costs if visitors get put off by popups and other aggressive ad software?

I cover costs on here buy sending out the annual “TCN BEGGING BOWL BLOG”. This normally brings in between £300 and £400 per year. That covers my server hosting and domain renewal and the spare cash gets donated to good causes. So there’s no need for ads and visitors don’t have to wait between one and two minutes for the article they want to read to load. As this site is mainly now an archive of #FAC posts I’m happy to cover the costs myself now.

So if you are sick of ads ruining your blog reading I would like to recommend two sites for Celtic fans. Both have multiple authors and offer a good range of articles.

Hail Hail Media

It’s A Grand Auld Team

If you know of any ad free Celtic sites, let me know about them and I’ll add them to my new ‘Ad free celtic sites’ page.

Hail, Hail
