No complacency from Celtic

The major worry before yesterdays game was not whether Celtic were good enough to beat Dunfermline but whether complacency would set in after the Glasgow Derby win.
To the delight of us all including the brilliant travelling support there was no sign of complacency whatsoever. Celtic took the game by the horns from the first minute and totally dominated the game till the final whistle. Celtic built up attack after attack and were unfortunate not to be awarded a penalty when Thomas Rogne was wrestled to the ground in the box.

Thank God for Charlie Mulgrew !

Charlie Mulgrew, Charlie Mulgrew
Only a year ago Charlie had played a hand full of games in which he wasn’t really welcomed whole heartedly by sections of the support. Then he done his hamstring and was out for a while. He was a surprise inclusion in the New years game at Ibrox playing left midfield and the rest as they say is history.
Since that game Charlie Mulgrew has been without doubt our most consistent and reliable player so much so that in the past week he has salvaged 4 pts for a struggling team. Some better payed players should go and have a word with Charlie about commitment and dedication.

And Now For Something Completely Different.

The International break has gave us time to lick our wounds and now that we have the AGM out of the way we have no distractions. Time to move on.
We have a good record at Rugby Park and I don’t see why that should change tomorrow. We’re now drinking in the last chance saloon as far as the title goes and I’m sure the Manager and his players know that but I do think we can start to build our season on a decent result tomorrow.

Step forward Charlie Mulgrew

The injury to Izzy has handed big Charlie Mulgrew the chance to show us what he has as a left back.

Charlie was one of our unsung signings from last season. It's fair to say that most fans were not to impressed when Neil Lennon brought Charlie back to Celtic for a second time. He played a few games at left back early last season but never looked too convincing except for one SPL game at Celtic park when he played really well but pulled up with a hamstring injury and had to go off.
